Our Compliance Memberships allow you to operationalize this effort by providing governance and documentation related to the Privacy and Security evaluation, risk analysis, and continued risk management for your practice.
One key to being reasonably diligent is oversight as a prevention and risk mitigation strategy. Our team will monitor your practice monthly to identify areas of potential risk, assist with the development of a mitigation plan and provide guidance while implementing the needed changes.
Regulatory Compliance is rapidly becoming the next area of focus in health care. This segment continues to evolve with audits becoming more frequent and payment adjustment continuing to increase.
Process Improvement Membership
PIM – Our team will monitor your practice monthly to identify areas of potential risk, assist with the development of a mitigation plan and provide guidance while implementing the needed changes. Medical Practice Management by Amalgaworks will assign a dedicated employee to lead the development of your organization’s Compliance Program. This program will also require a compliance manager or assigned contact to be designated by the practice to maintain the processes developed and assist with the ongoing improvement efforts. The program will be based upon and follow the seven elements of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and compliance program guidance from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). The seven elements of your compliance program are:
- Written Standards, Policies and Procedures
- Designation of a Compliance Manager (Practice)
- Compliance Training, Education and Awareness
- Compliance Communications
- Compliance Monitoring and Program Evaluation
- Responses to Suspected or Actual Instances of Noncompliance
- Discipline
Reporting Only Membership
ROM – Our team will monitor your practice monthly to identify areas of potential risk and provide a status report of our findings. Written standards, policies and procedures will be developed and distributed to promote your organizations commitment to compliance, ensure operational integrity and mitigate specific risk areas. Medical Practice Management by Amalgaworks will assist you through reporting to identify areas of higher risk that consequently merit greater scrutiny.
Medical Practice Management by Amalgaworks will assist with the development and distribution to all associates a Code of Business Conduct that contains written standards of conduct that clearly and unequivocally articulate your organization’s commitment to ethical conduct and to compliance with all applicable statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements. This Code of Business Conduct will be a straightforward, easy-to-understand summary of compliance standards that each associate will be required to certify that they have received, read, and will comply on an annual basis. Additional Policies and Procedures may be suggested based on the monthly monitoring reports provided.
